This model shows the path of how you can become a BEST member. The path is not necessarily linear like the graph shows. This model has the purpose of giving you an idea how the process is and what are the things that you can expect. If you already have experience from other organizations you might skip some steps.

Clarifications
Observer = a KTH student that has shown interested in BEST Stockholm. At this moment he or she will be invited to our informal meetings: for dinner, to grab a beer, to watch a movie etc. If he or she comes to several informal meetings and feels comfortable in the group, he/she will be invited to a formal meeting. If the member shows deep interest in BEST at this moment he or she is proposed for baby member.
Baby member = a student that knows the basic information of BEST and is willing to contribute in our projects. Small mechanical tasks are asked from the baby member until he or she feels ready to take up responsability in one of our projects. During this period a baby member will be guided by an angel. When taking responsability in a project, the baby member is ready to become full member
Full member = a student that is actively participating in the work of the BEST group and is involved in current/past/future projects. A full member has acces to the interal online system and has voting right on our annual meetings.
Welcome Booklet = booklet which holds all the information about BEST and BEST Stockhom that is valuable for a baby member. It will provide necessary information for him or her to feel comfortable during first meetings and help to get an idea of the scope of our activities.
Fika = informal meeting with a cup coffee with one of the experienced members of BEST Stockholm.
Angel = full member of BEST Stockholm, who has been in BEST long enough to have organised events and to have knowledge about BEST and BEST Stockholm. His or her job is to guide the baby member through the beginning of the membership and to answer questions and to help with advice.
Training Package = a minimum required in trainings for the members so he or she can successfully take responsability in one of our projects. The training package consists of 4 hours Project Management, 4 hours Facilitation and effective meetings and 2 hours BEST knowledge transfer, where you get an introducation to BEST. These trainings will be delivered regularly by BEST trainers.
